Our Philosophy
Clear Expressions Therapeutic Services will focus on a client-centered therapy approach when interacting with all individuals. This operates according to three basic principles that reflect the attitude of the therapist to the client: The therapist is congruent with the client, the therapist provides the client with unconditional positive regard, and the therapist shows an empathetic understanding to the client. These three principles are the cornerstone of what Clear Expressions believes leads to positive changes within an individual's life. We include interactive learning activities to keep individuals engaged and provide feedback that is functional & specific to each individual. We are dedicated to the success of clients, both in therapy & beyond. The skills they gain from therapy expose them to real-life instances and it is our goal to provide quality services to individuals of diverse backgrounds that will address their specific needs and help them clearly express themselves in all settings.

Company Description
Clear Expressions provides comprehensive & moral services to improve the quality of life for individuals with communication difficulties. A recently, founded company in Maryland, Clear Expressions is a professional service company comprised of Certificate of Clinical Competence Speech-Language Pathologists (CCC-SLPs). We offer services via contracts such as English speech & language therapy, evaluations to government agencies and schools, early intervention services, and counseling individuals with psychological, behavioral, and/or emotional disorders. Clear Expressions is a black-owned business that diligently works to address the learning, achievement, and opportunity gap in Washington D.C. and Maryland. Our professionals are skilled in evaluating and treating clients in schools, daycares, clinics, homes, and via telehealth services.
Meet our Staff!
Marlon John is the founder of Clear Expressions and a Certified Speech-Language Pathologist from the Washington DC area. Marlon has a background in education and previously served as a second-grade teacher where he managed student behavior to provide a safe and optimal learning environment for all students. He received a Master of Science from Howard University in Communication Sciences & Disorders. Howard University has equipped him with the tools to serve a diverse group of patients. He has clinical experience working alongside other professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team to treat individuals with a variety of disability classifications. These disability classifications included: autism spectrum disorder (ASD), emotional disturbance (ED), intellectual disability (ID), specific learning disability (SLD), speech-language impairment (SLI), attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) & more. Marlon has provided speech & language therapy services in the school, private practice, & outpatient clinical settings.
